We at Fred Beans Ford of West Chester would like to introduce our customers in West Chester, Glen Mills, and Malvern to the Escape's many safety features. Read through the detailed review below to learn more about the passive and active safety features you'll find in the Escape!

Passive Safety Features

The Escape comes standardly equipped with a variety of passive safety features that will have your back in every situation. To help you stay confident and in control, you'll have a Tire Pressure Monitoring System as well as AdvanceTrac® with RSC® (Roll Stability Control™) which includes Curve Control.

The latter feature smartly monitors your speed when you're going around curves. If it detects that you're going too fast around a curve, this feature will automatically slow you do to ensure that you don't get going too fast and lose control.

The Escape also comes with the Personal Safety System™ is a series of smart airbags. With this system, you'll have dual-stage driver- and front-passenger airbags, a driver's knee airbag, and front seat-mounted side airbags. Also included in this system is the Safety Canopy® System which features two-row side-curtain airbags.

Active Safety Features

In addition to its many passive safety features, the Escape offers a plethora of smart active safety features starting with the standard Ford Safe and Smart™ Package. Included in this package is driver-activated rain-sensing windshield wipers, auto high-beam headlamps, BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with Cross-Traffic Alert, Lane-Keeping System, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Forward Collision Warning with Brake Support.

Many of these features use smart sensors on all sides of the vehicle to keep tabs on what's going on around your vehicle. You won't have to worry about accidentally not seeing another vehicle while you're backing up or switching lanes.

The Ford Escape also offers several other available active safety features including Enhanced Active Park Assist. This system combines four independent smart features including Parallel Parking, Park-Out Assist, Reverse Perpendicular Parking, and Side Sensing System.

This system takes almost all the stress out of parking because it virtually takes matters into its own metaphorical hands. These features help you find parking, help you steer into it, help you back up, and help you get out. You'll also get a warning if you get too close to any vehicle or object around you.
